A website that feels like it's always belonged to your business.
I design and build simple, fast websites for small businesses across Otago. No jargon, no bloat, no twelve-week timelines, just a site that does its job well.
Most small businesses don't need a sprawling, over-engineered website. They need one that loads fast, looks like a real business made it, and gets people to call or email. That's what I build, for cafés, tradies, studios, and everyone in between, right here in Otago.
What I do
Two straightforward ways to work together.
Website Build
$999 one-time
Everything your business needs: unlimited pages, mobile-friendly design, contact form, maps, social integration, full SEO setup, and more, all in one flat price. Live in 3–5 days.
Care Plan
$200/month
Everything in the Website Build plan, plus ongoing 24/7 monitoring, unlimited edits, and priority support, so your site just keeps working.
Based here. Not outsourced, not offshore, not a stranger on a contact form.
I know what a Dunedin winter does to foot traffic, why your Central Otago clients book differently to your city ones, and why "good enough" copy-pasted from a template never quite fits a local business. You can call or text me directly, and I'll actually reply.
Ready when you are
Tell me a bit about your business and what you're hoping your site could do for you.
How I can help

- Unlimited small edits and updates
- Priority response if anything breaks

No contract, cancel anytime.
How we'd work together
Three steps, start to launch.
A short chat
15 minutes about your business, who your customers are, and what the site needs to actually do for you.
I design and build
You'll see drafts along the way, not a surprise reveal at the end. Changes are expected, not charged extra for within reason.
Launch & handover
Site goes live, you get a quick walkthrough of how to make basic edits yourself, and the option to add a Care Plan after.
A few examples of the kind of work I do
Otago Web Design is a new business, so rather than padding this page with stock-photo "clients," here are a few concept projects showing the range of sites I build.
Driftwood Café
The brief
A small Dunedin café losing customers to a Facebook page that hadn't been updated in months, no menu, no hours, and people kept turning up on the one day they're closed.
What the site includes
- One-page layout: hero photo, story, menu, hours, location map
- A menu section that's easy to update seasonally, no developer needed
- Big, obvious "Open today until 3pm" style hours display
- Embedded Google Map and click-to-call for bookings
- Instagram feed embed so the site never looks stale
Peninsula Plumbing & Gas
The brief
A two-person plumbing business getting all their work through word of mouth and a Yellow Pages-style listing, no way for someone to find them at 9pm when a hot water cylinder fails.
What the site includes
- Mobile-first layout, since most visits happen on a phone, often mid-emergency
- A giant, thumb-friendly "Call now" button fixed near the top on mobile
- Clear service list: emergency callouts, gas fitting, renovations, with rough response times
- Service area map so people in Mosgiel or Brighton know they're covered
- Simple "request a quote" form for non-urgent jobs
Tussock Yoga Studio
The brief
A small studio relying on a shared Google Sheet and a lot of text messages to manage class bookings, new students had no easy way to see the timetable or know what a class actually involved.
What the site includes
- Calm, uncluttered layout with generous whitespace, nothing competing for attention
- A weekly class timetable that's simple to update each term
- One clear booking link per class, connected to an existing booking tool
- Short "new to yoga?" section to ease first-timers in
- Instructor bios so people know who they'll be in a room with
Let's talk about your website
Send me a quick message, your business name, roughly what you're after, and any sites you like the feel of, and I'll reply with some thoughts and a rough price.
Based in Dunedin, working with businesses across Otago and beyond. I usually reply within a day or two.
